Why Would I Review Work?
Be a Part of a Transformational Project to Improve Student Assessments

This is your chance to contribute to improving the assessment of students in the United States. If you have ever been frustrated by the current methods of assessing students, you now have an opportunity to be a part of a transformative new project to prove that there are better and more meaningful ways to assess what students know and help them improve.

For those not in the classroom on a regular basis, this is your chance to have a voice in what constitutes effective student work. Are you frustrated by employees showing up for work who are lacking certain skills? Are there qualities in writing, for example, that you feel are not adequately emphasized in schools today? This is an opportunity for you to share your opinions. By participating in the EdSteps review of student work, you are able to provide commentary on the work samples you review, highlighting for educators what you value in student work. Your comments will be linked to the student work samples and made available to the public when the continuums are published.
