Analyzing information is critical inquiry into a message, delivered via any form of digital, print or audio communication, such as a news article or broadcast, dvertisement, Website, documentary or speech.
Effective analysis demonstrates a deep understanding of the intent, accuracy, credibility and potential impact of a message.
Understanding the effectiveness of the message may include analysis of the following components:
■■ The purpose and intent of the message.
■■ The credibility of the author(s).
■■ The credibility and use of the sources.
■■ The relevance and accuracy of the information.
■■ The potential impact on the ideas, values, points-of-view, and/or emotions of consumers.
